We just learned that the Pharisees, a "holier than thou" group of extremist Jewish busy-bodies, made oral interpretations of the Torah (Yahweh's law), and taught, believed and enforced these oral judgments over (superior to) Yahweh's written, inspired word. These interpretations were not only stricter than the law, but were not according to the spirit of the law.

For example:

And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? Luke 6:1-2

Here are these busy-body Pharisees, interfering and judging the Son of Yahweh. He and the disciples had broken THEIR (Pharisee) law (tradition), but had NOT broken Yahweh's law. We know this because Jesus (Yahusuah) was without sin. His answer speaks to the SPIRIT of the law versus the letter of the Pharisees' oral interpretations. He told the story of David, eating shewbread from the temple (which according to the letter of the law was unlawful, but according to the spirit of the law, man (and his eating) is more important than the letter. Likewise, the disciples' eating was more important than false, judgmental interpretations of the Pharisees.

And he said unto them, That the Son of man is master also of the sabbath. Luke 6:5

Note, "Christ" is an English transliteration of the Greek, "Christos", which is a translation from the Hebrew "Messiah". If the word were actually translated (instead of transliterated) it would be "annointed". Rather than going through all those mental exercises, it's easier to just use the terms "Messiah" or "Annointed", both convey a more accurate meaning. They are all titles, NOT names. So, properly, one could say "Jesus the Messiah" or "Jesus the Annointed" or even more correctly, "Yahusuah the Messiah". "Yahushua" is the name that Yahweh told Mary to give to her Son.

Orthodox Jewish Brit Chadash:
And she shall bear BEN (Son) and you will call SHMO (his name) Yehoshua [trans. note: see ZECHARYAH 3:8; 6:11-12; NEHEMYAH 8:17; EZRA 3:8 where the TZEMACH [Branch] or MOSHIACH [Messiah] is indicated by the personal name YEHOSHUA, which in Aramaic is YESHUA * ], because he will bring his people yeshu'a (rescue, salvation, deliverance) from their peysha'im (rebellions, transgressions)." Matthew 1:21

Much importance and meaning is lost by using the word "Jesus" transliterated from the Latin "Iesus", transliterated from the Greek, "Iesous", transliterated from a substitute (shortened) Hebrew name "Yeshua", derived from the actual Hebrew name, "Yahushua". The name "Jesus" isn't wrong, it's just less meaningful. Here's why.

1) "Yahushua" is the name given by Yahweh (this by itself should be sufficient argument for its use).

2) The word "Yahushua" has meaning, which is why Yahweh chose it. This name means "Yahu saves". "Yahu" or "Yah" was the personal name (praenomen) of the Son of Yahweh before coming to Earth. His complete name was "Yahu Yahweh" because He was given the last name of the Father. We, who are overcomers, will also be given this name Yahweh when we are part of the Family of Yahweh.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my Elohim [remember "God" or "Elohim" is a title. The NAME of the True God is "Yahweh". That is the name that will be given and written on the overcomers], and the name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my Elohim: and I will write upon him my new name. Revelation 3:12

The true meaning is completely lost using the word "Jesus" because "Jesus" comes from the substitute word "Yeshua". This word is derived from "to save/rescue/deliver" while the actual name "Yahushua" means "Yahu saves/rescues/delivers" (see wikipedia and "The Sacred Name YHWH" page XIX). Again, the Holy Name "Yahweh" is stolen, removed, obscured, hidden.

3) "Yahushua", the name given to the Messiah, was the same name given to Joshua, the faithful spy and son of Nun. His Hebrew name was also יהשוע or transliterated to "Yhowshuwa".

Strong's Hebrew: 3091 Yhowshuwa` yeh-ho-shoo'-ah or Yhowshua {yeh-ho-shoo'-ah}; from 3068 and 3467; Jehovah-saved [actually Yahu saves]; Jehoshua (i.e. Joshua), the Jewish leader:--Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua.

Strong's Greek: 2424 Iesous ee-ay-sooce' of Hebrew origin (3091); Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites:--Jesus. see HEBREW for 03091

4) "Yahushua" was prophecied to be the name of the coming Branch (TZEMACH), the Messiah (MOSHIACH). (see the translation note to Matthew 1:21, Orthodox Jewish Brit Chadash, above, pointing to the Messianic prophecies of Zechariah 3 and 6, Nehemiah 8, and Ezra 3). The Jews who were correctly looking for the coming Messiah, knew that His name would be "Yahushua". Changing the name to Jesus (even if it were a correct translation, which it is NOT) has aided Satan in hiding the Messiah and His Father AND it claims superiority over the Father, Yahweh.

Here are three identical Hebrew names, יהשוע, two anglicized to "Joshua" (Numbers 26:65, Haggai 1:1) or "Jeshua" (Nehemiah 8:17, Ezra 3:2), while the third has been anglicized to "Jesus" from the Greek. Two places in the New Testament the word "Jesus" is used to refer to Joshua the son of Nun (Acts 7:45, Heb 4:8) (see Three Joshuas - Three Promised Lands).

Yahushua (Yhowshuwa - same pronunciation) the son of Nun was a type for Yahushua the Son of Yahweh. The former would lead his people into the physical promised land of Canaan, the later will lead His people into the spiritual promised land of Heaven and the New Jerusalem. Another Yahushua, the son of Josedech was a prophetic name, prophecying the coming of Yahushua the Messiah. This type, meeting anti-type and the prophecies are completely lost by using derived names - another example of Satan's misdirection.

The NAME of Yahweh is the KEY to Salvation. (see here)

Throughout the Torah and the Prophets (the Old Testament) the sacred name יהוה (YHWH - Yahweh, our god) is the key to scriptural understanding and salvation. Yet one would never know this truth listening to the various religious teachers as they preach from the pulpits of their respective synagogues, churches, and mosques.

We find salvation in only one name: the sacred name Yahweh. It is not found by uttering the name “Jesus Christ” or even its original Hebrew form “Yahushua ha-messiah.” The name Allah, used by the Muslims, is nothing more than the Arabic form of the Hebrew generic term eloah. It too has no intrinsic worth for salvation. Neither will titles, such as lord, adonai, eloahim, and so forth, help us. The evidence shows that when the New Testament texts speak of accomplishing things in the name of Yahushua (or “the king,” “the sovereign,” and so forth) it was done in metonymic style and refers directly to the name Yahweh (see also "Metonymy" at this site).

Yahushua did great works in his father’s name, not his own earthly name. Therefore, when Yahushua said to do things and request things “in my name,” he meant in his heavenly name, the name he came in, the name he inherited and now shares with our heavenly father, the name under whose authority He served, "Yahweh". If it isn't true that Salvation is ONLY in the name of Yahweh, then the Old Testament (Torah) is full of lies (following is a VERY SMALL sampling). But Yahweh doesn't lie, so Christians today must be mistaken (deluded by the conspiracies of Satan, Romans 3:4).

And you will say on that day, “I will give you thanks, Yahweh, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, and you comforted me. Look! El is my salvation; I will trust, and I will not be afraid, for my strength and might is Yah Yahweh; and he has become salvation for me.” And you will draw water from the wells of salvation in joy. And you will say on that day, “Give thanks to Yahweh; call on his name. Make his deeds known among the peoples; bring to remembrance that his name is exalted. Isaiah 12:1-4

Most Christians read the following text and assume its salvation is referring to the name of the Messiah, Jesus or Yahushua.

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yahushua the Messiah of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom יהוה raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:10-12

Instead, the previous verse from Isaiah and the following verse from Joel show that salvation is through Yahweh:

For it will be (that) all who will call upon the name Yahweh will be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem will be salvation, as Yahweh has said, and among the saved whom Yahweh will call. Joel 2:32

Only by understanding that EVERYTHING the Messiah said and did was the Father's doings - under the direct orders and authority and in the NAME of His Father, Yahweh, AND that the Messiah's pre-existent and future Name is "Yahweh", can we harmonize these seeming discrepancies. Yahweh was working through Him. He was working. They were ONE united.

Yahushua saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. John 4:34

But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of Elohim in you. I am come in my Father's name [Yahweh], and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. John 5:36-43

Yahushua answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name [not in my own name], they bear witness of me. John 10:25

Now therefore, what have I here, saith יהוה [Yahweh], that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith יהוה [Yahweh]; and my name continually every day is blasphemed. Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. Isaiah 52:5-6

But these are written, that ye might believe that Yahushua is the Messiah, the Son of יהוה; and that believing ye might have life through his [Yahweh's] name. John 20:31

And יהוה [Yahweh] will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of distress. And those who know your name will trust in you, for you do not forsake those who seek you, O יהוה [Yahweh]. Psalms 9:9-10

For the music director. A psalm of David. May יהוה [Yahweh] answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of Jacob’s Elohim [Yahweh] protect you. Psalms 20:1

May we shout for joy over your victory, and in the name of our Elohim may we set up banners. May יהוה [Yahweh] fulfill all your requests. Now I know that יהוה [Yahweh] will help his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven with the victorious power of his right hand. Some boast in chariots and others in horses, but we boast in the name of יהוה [Yahweh], our Elohim. Psalms 20:5-7

Then the nations will fear the name of Yahweh, and all the kings of the earth your glory. For Yahweh will rebuild Zion; he will appear in his glory. He will turn his attention to the prayer of the destitute and will not despise their prayer. Let this be written for the next generation, so that a people yet to be created may praise Yah, that he looked down from his holy height. Yahweh looked from heaven over the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to liberate those destined to die, so that they may make known in Zion the name of Yahweh, and his praise in Jerusalem, when the peoples assemble, together with kingdoms, to serve Yahweh. Psalms 102:15-22

Save us, O יהוה [Yahweh] our Elohim, and gather us from the nations, so that we may give thanks to your holy name and boast in your praise. Blessed is יהוה [Yahweh], the Elohim of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise Yah. Psalms 106:47-48

There is none like you, O יהוה [Yahweh], you are great and your name is great in might. Jeremiah 10:6


YAHUSUAH REVEALED THE SACRED NAME

Yahusuah the Messiah knew all these truths and it was to reveal them and especially to reveal the Father AND HIS NAME, that He came to this world in the name of His Father, Yahweh.

“I have revealed your name to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they understand that all the things that you have given me are from you, because the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they received them and know truly that I have come from you, and they have believed that you have sent me. Righteous Father, although the world does not know you, yet I have known you, and these men have come to know that you sent me. And I made known to them your name, and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I may be in them.” John 17:6-8, 26

Yahushua saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? John 14:9

The Messiah was also ready and willing to correct the scribes and the Pharisees. If the NAME of Yahweh is the key to salvation and understanding, he was quick to censor them for their role in the conspiracy. The Sacred name was the primary contention between them. This is the main "key" that he accused them of hiding.

Woe to you, Scribes; for ye have taken away the keys of knowledge: ye yourselves enter not, and them that are entering ye hinder. And when he had said these things to them, the Scribes and Pharisees began to be offended, and became angry, and carped at his discourses, Luke 11:52-53

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they ... love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. Matthew 23:1-7

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Matthew 23:14

Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the master. Matthew 23:24-39

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20

Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of Elohim by your tradition? Matthew 15:1-3

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of יהוה [Yahweh]: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even Elohim. Jesus said unto them, If Elohim were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from Elohim; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of Yahweh heareth Yahweh's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of Yahweh. John 8:39-47

Immediately, after uttering the Sacred Name, "Yahweh" (three times - and this is proof that is the word He spoke):

Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? John 8:48

The Samaritans were not under the traditions of the Pharisees. Since Yahushua uttered the forbidden name, He must be excused because He was probably a Samaritan who "didn't know better" AND He must have a devil (thrown in for good measure).

(Remembering that according to the Pharisees, uttering the Sacred Name was blasphemy, which was punishable by stoning to death) When Yahushua replied that He was NOT a Samaritan, and further told them that He had pre-existed:

"Then took they up stones to cast at him..." John 8:59

Could Yahushua (Jesus) the Messiah have been any more plain and direct in exposing and condemning these conspirators with Satan, their father? Could He have been any more plain in revealing His Father in Heaven and His Name, "Yahweh"? For nearly 200 years His followers knew these truths. Then Satan fomented another conspiracy, this time with the church that became largely corrupted and co-opted by Catholicism.
