Those NOT saved at the Messiah's second coming will be raised from the dead after the millennium and judged at the great white throne judgment. Their harvest is later. (the barley will be harvested at the 2nd coming, the wheat and grapes will be harvested after the millennium)
The Book of Life will be the basis for judgment of the barley at the 2nd coming of Yahushua the Christ. Those written therein will reign with the Christ in Heaven (Revelation 20:4) for a thousand years.
The judgment following the millennium uses different books, which will be opened. Every man not written in the book of life (therefore, not previously saved), will be judged according to his works (Revelation 20:11-12). These deeds (works) are recorded in the Book of Remembrance, which explains why these books will be open. Some claim, and it may be true, that the Book of Remembrance is only for recording GOOD deeds, and that there is a different book for recording sins. I found no proof one way or the other. At any rate, there are records in books (literal or figurative). It isn't specifically stated, but one can infer that the overcomers, also use this book of remembrance while they judge the dead during the millennium.
"Then those who revered Yahweh spoke with one another. And Yahweh listened attentively and heard, and a scroll of remembrance was written before him of those who revere Yahweh and ponder his name. “They will be mine,” says Yahweh of hosts, “on the day that I am acting, my treasured possession. I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him." Malachi 3:16-17
"A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened." Daniel 7:10
These different judgments explain why there is so much confusion about faith and works.
Salvation is ONLY by acceptance of the faith of Yahushua (Jesus). However, the works of the unrighteous testify against them at the great white throne judgment. They are not lost because of their deeds, they are unsaved (yet) because of their lack of faith.
The sins of the wheat and barley harvest people will be blotted out of the book of remembrance as they repent and call on the name of Yahweh. Then their names will be added to the book of life. Eventually, all will repent (Isaiah 45:22,23, Jeremiah 31:34, Luke 3:6, Romans 14:11, Philippians 2:10,11, Revelation 15:4, 1 Timothy 4:9,10,11 and many more). Some will "burn" in the lake of fire, only a short time, others, a very long time.
Eventually, no one will say "There is no God". ALL will know and worship the name of Yahweh, starting with the wheat. The wheat harvest people already believed in the Christ and were looking for His coming. They just lacked the faith of Yahushua (Jesus). They are represented by the foolish virgins. Finally, the grapes will be harvested. They refused to believe in Yahweh God at all. They were unbelievers, agnostics, atheists, heathens, pagans, the arrogant, the self-reliant, the ignorant. They will be harvested last and will "burn" in the "fire" the longest. Judgment and "fire" result in purification.
"When יהוה [Yahweh, our god] shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning." Isaiah 4:4
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come [future tense] from the presence of Yahweh; And he shall send Yahushua the Messiah, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which Yahweh hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." Acts 3:19
The "times of refreshing" is the millennial rest. It is a 1000 years of respite after 6000 years of sin. A (thousand) day rest after six (thousand) days of toil (a day for a year). When else can this period of "presence of the Yahweh" occur? The presence of our Saviour is already past, so it isn't referring to that. The Spirit had previously manifested. This verse is referring to a future "presence". The return of the Christ (His second coming) will start the refreshing, but all will not be restored (restitution of all things - Acts 3:21) until after the harvest (of souls) is complete. This is after the great white throne judgment and repentance of the wicked.
"I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee." Isaiah 44:22
"But WAIT!" you say. This is after the Messiah's second coming and after the great white throne judgment. Judgment has been handed down and these have been found guilty. It is too late for them to repent!
OH? And exactly where do you find that Bible text?
The verse most likely pointed to will be:
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. Revelation 22:11
The part ignored will be immediately following:
"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." Revelation 22:12-15
This part of John's prophecy shows that the beginning and ending of the millennium are condensed into one event. That event is Yahweh's harvest. The beginning of the harvest is barley. The barley is NOT judged by works ("every man according as his work"), but by faith. The judgment of the wheat and grapes, at the end of the millennium, during the great white throne judgment are judged by works because they lack faith of Yahushua (Jesus). ("to give every man according as his work" Revelation 20:12, Revelation 22:12)
Accordingly, the latter part of Revelation 22:12 is referring to the great white throne judgment after the millennium, while the beginning part is referring to the second coming before the millennium. One thousand years is condensed into a single sentence. But then a thousand years is as one day to יהוה [Yahweh] (2 Peter 3:8). Revelation 22:11 goes with the first part of Revelation 22:12, and the second coming.
It is true, there is no more time or opportunity for repentance before the second coming and the end of that age. The barley harvest has been decided - their book (the book of life) is closed for the barley judgment.
This doesn't mean that Yahweh God is unable to save others in future ages and future harvests and a future judgment! And, there is no Bible text that denies future repentance and salvation. In fact, to the contrary, we are told:
"I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." Isaiah 45:23
"For it is written, As I live, saith Yahweh, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to Yahweh." Romans 14:11
"Wherefore Yahweh also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Yahushua every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Yahushua is Master, to the glory of יהוה [Yahweh] the Father." Philippians 2:9-11
Future repentance and salvation is the very purpose of the lake of fire.
For a long time I questioned why, finally, just after EVERYONE acknowledges Yahweh God and worships Him, THEN He kills them by burning them in the lake of fire.
If the lake of fire were for punishment or annihilation of the wicked, who are these outside the (open) city gates? (Revelation 21:25, Revelation 22:15) and how may they "enter in through the gates into the city"? (Revelation 22:14). Only by repentance. When they repent, their sin is blotted out of the Book of Remembrance.
First the barley, then the wheat, and finally the grapes will be harvested. (See "HARVESTS OF REDEMPTION") Yahweh's will be done.
