Churches today do not teach that tithe is to be used as a vacation fund for personal feasts:

And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always. Deuteronomy 14:23

The people are to EAT their tithes. If the way was too distant:

If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it, because the place is too far from you, which Yahweh your God shall choose, to set his name there, when Yahweh your God shall bless you; then you shall turn it [the tithe] into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose: and you shall bestow the money for whatever your soul desires, for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you; and you shall eat there before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. Deuteronomy 14:24-26

Have you ever been taught that your tithe should be put away for an annual vacation feast or party? I doubt it.
