Most Christians would say that they worship and pray to God and/or Jesus and/or Christ.

No one is named "God"

"God" is not anyone's name - it is non specific. No one is named "God". No false god or goddess is named "God" and the Almighty Father is not named "God". "God" is not even a name. It is a generic word meaning deity, and can refer to the ONE true god or to any of the many false gods. The word "god" DOES appear (sometimes incorrectly) in English Bible translations, but did NOT appear as originally written. It is translated from the Hebrew word "el" (singular) or "elohim" (plural) and the Greek word "theos", but these are generic terms that can refer to ANY deity, true or false, male or female and are NOT proper names.

The Bible is full of many gods, goddesses and lords ("lord" simply means master). There were Ashtoreth, Baal, Dagon, Re, Isis, Osiris, Marduk, Bel, Tammuz, Molech, Diana, Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebul, strange gods, false gods, gods of wood or stone, silver or gold. AND, of course there is the one true god whose name is Yahweh. If you pray to a generic "god" which of these are you invoking? Instead, pray to Yahweh, the ONLY sacred, holy name and the only one true god, then there is no question or doubt. His is the only sacred name and the only name that saves (see "Yahweh" is the ONLY Name that Saves).

Most Bible versions hide the sacred name yhwh (pronounced Yahweh and written backwards as hwhy because Hebrew reads from right to left), the name of the almighty father and his only begotten son. These faulty translations hide the sacred name yhwh by incorrectly substituting "LORD" or "God". These are NOT translations but incorrect substitutions (see Conspiracy - The Hidden, Holy Name).

"Jesus" no longer exists

When "Jesus" was a man on this earth, his Hebrew name was "Yahushua" which literally translates to "Yahu is salvation" or "Yahu saves". If one wanted to translate this name to English, it would more correctly be Joshua, but even that is incorrect and loses the meaning "Yahu saves" because we don't understand Hebrew (AND it isn't the name the angel of yhwh told Joseph to name him).

Matthew 1:21 tells about Joseph while he was considering how to dump his fiancée, Mary because she was pregnant. An angel appeared to him and told him that he shouldn't be afraid to take her as his wife. Her child was the one foretold in Isaiah 7:14 and he should name the child "Yahushua" in Hebrew.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of יהוה [Yahweh] appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yahushua: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of יהוה by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, Elohim with us. Matthew 1:20-23

Luke 1:31 tells the same story. Both of these texts are examples of apostate improper substitutions in most English versions where the angel wrongly says "name him Jesus". One has to search for older or original correct versions where the angel says "name him Yahushua".

"Christ" is also not a name but a description meaning "anointed" or "messiah". So "Jesus Christ" is actually "Yahushua, the anointed". Many Biblical characters such as King Saul, King David and Elijah were anointed, so they were also christs, but not the only begotten son of Yahweh.

While Yahushua was the actual Hebrew name of the son on Earth, after he was resurrected and glorified, he was given a new name. His name is no longer Yahushua and certainly never was "Jesus" (an English translation of an incorrect Greek substitution) or "Christ" (meaning anointed).

New Names

Yahweh frequently gives new names to his servants and family after some significant happening.

But now thus saith יהוה that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy [new] name [Israel]; thou art mine. Isaiah 43:1

Abram was given a new name, Abraham, Sarai was given a new name, Sarah (Genesis 17:5). Jacob was given a new name, Israel (Genesis 35:10).

Yahushua, when raised and glorified, was given a new name, the name of his father, Yahweh. We also will be given that same name after our glorification (see Isaiah 43:7, Isaiah 52:6, Isaiah 62:2, Hebrews 1:4, Revelation 2:17, Revelation 14:1, Revelation 3:12, Revelation 22:1-5)

This new name is the same name as the holy city. (Psalm 101:8, Isaiah 60:14, Daniel 9:19) note the improper English translation "city of the Lord" in Hebrew is literally "city Yahweh" (another improper substitution).

This renaming of his sons, servants and city signifies ownership or dominion over them, by the Father. One can only name what they own or rule. This proves that the son, who was renamed by his father, is subordinate to the Father. The Father rules over the son and they are NOT co-equal (see "Trinity" or Father, Son and Their Spirit(s) ).

This is the reason that brides are given a new name after marriage. They take the name of their husband, to whom they are to be subordinate. (see Ephesians 5:22-24, 1 Corinthians 11:3-16, Colossians 3:18, 1 Peter 3:1-6)

A Few Sample Texts

יהוה also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, יהוה, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Sing praises to יהוה, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. Psalms 9:9-11

Let them praise the name of יהוה: for his name ALONE is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. Psalms 148:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of יהוה shall be saved. Romans 10:13

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, Ephesians 3:14-15
