Finally we have arrived at the importance of "Jurisdiction". In all marriages there are three parties. The Husband (1st party) the wife (2nd party) and a 3rd party. The identification of the 3rd party depends on jurisdiction. In a marriage that is a gift of God and under His jurisdiction and authority, the 3rd party is Yahweh Himself.

If a marriage permission and license are granted by the government and under its authority, the state becomes the 3rd party. Proof of this is seen in family courts every day. The state has complete control over all controversies, disagreements, fights, child-rearing, education, divorce and every aspect of its own marriages. How did it get that jurisdiction? It was given by the husband and wife.

But, how can you say that God is a party to the marriage?

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Matthew 19:5-6

Did you see God at the last wedding you attended, joining together the husband and wife? What is the explanation of this text? It is my contention that Yahweh joins the husband and wife when they are united with His authority and blessing. When they have requested His jurisdiction. When they obey and keep His law. However it happens, God joins them so He has to be part of the ceremony. We have His promise that He does and is.

Those who choose the jurisdiction of Babylon, the state, government by Satan's proxy, are obeying the laws of the state and the laws of Satan and are under his jurisdiction and authority. He (Satan by his proxy the state) becomes the third party to the marriage and gives it his authority. Whenever a vacuum is left (God is not present) Satan immediately takes advantage and fills the void.

Now therefore fear יהוה [Yahweh, our god], and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the elohim which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye יהוה. And if it seem evil unto you to serve יהוה, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the elohim which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the elohim of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve יהוה. Joshua 24:14-15

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with יהוה? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of יהוה. James 4:4

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:24,33
