If your worldview concludes that we are here by DESIGN instead of chance (chance / accident - is the only other possibility), you are more likely to believe in an intelligence that designed and made the world.

"There are no coincidences" fits this worldview.

"Cause and effect" is a belief in design and purpose.

Design is the plan, the decision to do something. This decision precedes all considered actions.

Some people act impulsively, without thought or consideration. Their actions lack design. Nobody believes that the universe was created by someone acting impulsively.

Impulsive action is not the opposite of design.

Chance, randomness and accident compose the opposite worldview.
