Unfortunately, Satan has attempted to destroy and usurp everything that Yahweh has done. He has convinced man that Yahweh's timepieces are defective or outdated or inferior or difficult or unpopular.

He used his proxy, the Roman beast of Daniel 7 to change time. We shouldn't be surprised by this, because Yahweh told Daniel to tell us about this, years ahead of time. In fact, we should have been watching and expecting this.

Daniel 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times...

Some believe that the Roman beast legislation changing Sabbath from the 7th day to the 1st day was a fulfillment of this prophecy regarding time, but they are mistaken. That was a change of "law" not a change of "time". This was also foretold in the same prophecy of Daniel 7.

"Time" was changed with new calendars. First it was the Julian calendar named after the Roman emperor, Julius Caesar. It was first started in 46 B.C., and finally accepted by most of the world by 1840 A.D. Then came the currently used Gregorian calendar, implemented by the Roman Catholic Pope Gregory XIII, on October 4, 1582. These calendars completely eliminated Yahweh's timepieces. They changed the yearly calculation from a luni-solar year to a solar-only year. They changed the day to 24 hours, starting at midnight. They changed the lengths and calculation of the months to no longer align with the new moons. They also changed the start of the year from the new moon day of abib to January 1st and renamed all days and months after pagan gods or themselves (see How Yahweh's Time Differs).

Notice that BOTH new calendars were implemented by ROME, which has been identified as Satan's beast of Daniel 7 with iron teeth and 10 horns. This is a direct fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy of the beast changing "times". How could that not cause you to look at this subject more closely?

Time had been calculated more or less consistently for 4000 years. There is NO doubt that Rome's (the beast's) change of times was MAJOR and and would take a while to implement. For a more complete explanation see "Think to Change Times and Laws". Did Yahweh tell us any more about this? Yes!
