CommentaryThis parable was related to a kingdom divided. Jesus critics accused Him of casting out devils by power of Satan. He answered that a kingdom divided could not stand, in other words, He couldn't be opposing Satan through Satan's power. And, to cast out a demon, Satan must first be bound.
