"Yahweh" is the personal name of our God.
A Bible search for יהוה [written YHWH - pronounced Yahweh, our god] resulted in 8082 hits (instances of use), so we will only examine an illustrative few, mostly letting Yahweh's word speak for itself with my emphasis for your convenience. The four Hebrew characters יהוה are written from right to left, so correspond with the English characters (left to right) YHWH, which is pronounced "Yahweh" (see the Tetragrammaton).
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh]. Genesis 4:1
And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh]. Genesis 4:26

"Yahweh" named Himself because He has no superior.
Any attempt by man or Satan to name or rename Yahweh is a declaration of superiority above Yahweh, therefore is treason and blasphemy. Only a superior can name their inferior. The lesser can NOT name the greater. (see Who Owns Your Name?). Since there is NO ONE above Yahweh, no one can name Him. Only He can give Himself a name, and He did. This isn't said directly, but we are told that there is none above him and He has repeatedly told us His name.
יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice. 2 Samuel 22:14
I will praise יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] most high. Psalms 7:17
That men may know that thou, whose name alone is יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh], art the most high over all the earth. Psalms 83:18
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh], we ought not to think that the Most High is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. Acts 17:29
There is no doubt that Yahweh is the Most High. There is no one superior to Him to give Him a name.
"Yahweh" is His name because He said so.

And he said unto him, I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. Genesis 15:7
And, behold, יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] stood above it, and said, I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] Elohim of Abraham thy father, and the Elohim of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; Genesis 28:13
And Elohim spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh]: Exodus 6:2

And the Egyptians shall know that I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh], when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them. ... Thus saith יהוה, In this thou shalt know that I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh]: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. Exodus 7:5,17
I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage...Thou shalt not take the name of יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] thy Elohim in vain; for יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh] will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exodus 20:2,7

And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy Elohim: I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh]. Leviticus 18:21

How could any Bible believer doubt the name of Yahweh?
"Yahweh" is the ONLY "HOLY" (SACRED) Name
Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am יהוה. Leviticus 22:2
... I am יהוה [Yahweh, our god]. Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am יהוה. Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: Leviticus 22:30-32 (see Keep HIS Commandments)
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek יהוה. I Chronicles 16:10
For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Psalms 33:21
Let them praise the name of יהוה: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. Psalms 148:13
Bless יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh], O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalms 103:1
He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. Psalms 111:9

And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh]. So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am יהוה [YHWH - Yahweh], the Holy One in Israel.
