The first human government we find in the Bible was the Kingdom of Babel, precursor to Babylon, ruled by Nimrod.

He was a mighty hunter before יהוה [Yahweh, our god]: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before יהוה [Yahweh]. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel ... Genesis 10:9

There is a personality defect that drives one person to desire to rule over others. It is a combination of vanity, pride, selfishness, and an urge to control the actions of others (power). All are satanic traits.

There is also a personality defect that drives people to WANT to be controlled by another. It can be described by satanic traits also. Lack of faith in the unseen King of Kings is the first and foremost failure. These people need to be able to SEE their ruler. They can ONLY live in the physical world. The Spiritual world is unrecognizable to them. We saw an example of this lack of faith as exercised by the Israelites when Moses was on Mt. Sinai. The people wanted/needed something physical in which to believe - so they made a golden calf.

Other failures may be weakness of mind (it's easier to be told what to do than think for oneself), fear (which is also lack of faith) of either enemies or the ruler himself, and lack of responsibility for their own actions (I just did what I was told).

There is no question that some people WANT to be ruled.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? Jeremiah 5:31

Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles 1 Samuel 8:19,20

Understanding that the rulers and the ruled are acting under Satan's influence, all resulting governments of men can only be extensions of Satan's rule.

Throughout history, men's (Satan's) governments have taken three forms, as Satan's religions have. We will examine each and explore the false premises upon which they are based.

1. Force (dictatorships, etc)

Satan's earliest and most primitive governments were simply based on force. His nature (force and fear) were not masked, but were completely visible. Even though these forms may be the most primitive, it doesn't mean they haven't existed in modern times. (or still exist). In this form of government a would be ruler simply tells all the people to obey him on pain of death.

If the ruler is successful, he will rule until a stronger competitor arises or the people successfully revolt,

2. Divine Right of Kings

This theory was used for centuries. It is the fiction that the reason the king is king is because it is Yahweh's will.

This theory is less blatant than the first form and blame is on Yahweh, not the ruler. This theory was finally rejected by the late 1700s. The people could no longer be fooled by this false theory.

3. The Social Contract

The currently held theory is based on the fiction that people voluntarily agree to be ruled by whatever form contemplated. I don't know about you, but I never agreed to anything of the sort. This theory is more occult (hidden) and is more difficult to refute, primarily because it is so widely held as true.

Before the Kingdom of Yahweh can succeed, many people will have to reject this theory. Too many have failed to analyze and make informed decisions.

Regardless of the form Satan's governments of men may take, his Government is freedom and luxury for 1% of the people and slavery and bondage for the rest.

Thus saith יהוה [Yahweh]; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from יהוה [Yahweh]. Jeremiah 17:5

When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. Proverbs 23:1-3

Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. Ezekiel 22:27
