For centuries the family unit has been the basic building block of all societies. It is the lowest level of rule (government) and the most local in any society; the husband over the wife and children. This local government has been largely autonomous and independent, difficult to control. Therefore, Satan, acting through his proxies of false government and "society" must destroy it.

Satan's goal (through his minion proxies) has been to centralize control with central planning and centralized government. This reached an extreme in the former Soviet Union, until planning was so far removed from the source and effect that there was an inability to keep food on the shelves.

The Bible tells us the correct pattern. The husband is to rule over the wife.

Genesis 3:16
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto Yahushua. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as the Messiah is the head of the ekklesia [citizenry]: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the ekklesia is subject unto the Messiah, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Children are to be subject to their parents and honour them:

1 Timothy 3:4-5
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

Ephesians 6:1-2
Children, obey your parents in יהוה [Yahweh, our god]: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

This makes a local governmental unit (the family) able to function and thrive. But when the family and society are upside down (when the family has been destroyed) a state of anarchy exists (Yahweh's law does not rule) as now:

Isaiah 3:12
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Isaiah 29:16
Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

Isaiah 3:4-5
And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

This has been the goal and result of disintegration of the family. How has it happened and what can we do?
