What has caused this upside down world of Isaiah?

The inspired prophet clearly gives the answer.

Because they say "He made me not" (Isaiah 29:16).

Because they have (Isaiah 24:5):
     1. transgressed the laws
     2. violated the statutes, and
     3. broken the everlasting covenant.

This answers the question of WHY?, but HOW?
