This study starts with a conundrum (an intricate and difficult problem). Some Bible texts seem to say that (ALL?) governments are good and installed by God. Many others seem to say that earthly governments are evil and extensions of Satan. This study will attempt to solve this conundrum and understand Yahweh's will for man.

The most commonly used verses to prove that government is good are Romans 13:1-8, 1 Peter 2:13-18 and 2 Peter 2:10. These verses seem to say that (all) government is good, is installed by Yahweh, and ought to be obeyed.

Yet, other texts seem to say exactly the opposite, such as Exodus 20:3,5, Judges 8:22-23, 2 Samuel 23:3-4, Psalms 2:2-3, Psalms 22:27-28, Psalms 67:4, Psalms 103:19, Psalms 110:5,6, Proverbs 23:1-3, Proverbs 28:15, Proverbs 29:2, Proverbs 29:12, Ecclesiastes 10:4, Esther 3:2, Esther 4:16, Daniel 3:12-18, Daniel 6:10, Isaiah 24:21,22, Isaiah 28:14-15, Hosea 8:4, Matthew 2:12,13, Mark 10:42-45, Acts 4:26, Acts 5:29, 1 Corinthians 15:24, Ephesians 6:12, Revelation 18:4, Revelation 19:19-21.

Let's see if we can make sense of these seeming discrepancies. I know that we will reach a conclusion!
