All three comings and manifestations of Yahweh are demonstrated in the life of Yahweh's servant David.

David the Good Shepherd

David was, first of all, a shepherd.

And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 1 Samuel 17:34-35

But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Beth–lehem. 1 Samuel 17:15

David the King

Saul was removed as king and replaced by David.

But now thy kingdom [Saul's] shall not continue: יהוה [Yahweh, our god] hath sought him a man after his own heart, and יהוה hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which יהוה commanded thee. 1 Samuel 13:14

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Acts 13:22

To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beer–sheba. 2 Samuel 3:10

So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the Lord: and they anointed David king over Israel. 2 Samuel 5:3

David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. 2 Samuel 5:4

And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people. 2 Samuel 8:15

Modern Jews and many Christian Zionists are vainly looking for the (literal) return of King David, promised in Holy Scripture. They don't realize that King David pre-figured the literal, spiritual King Yahushua, and that He has already come as the awaited Messiah.

Instead, they are looking forward to the restoration of earthly Jerusalem and the earthly temple and an earthly king.

Yahushua answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. But he spake of the temple of his body. John 2:19,21

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of יהוה, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19

Just as the first two earthly temples were destroyed, and their place will be taken by the spiritual temple of our bodies, so literal Jerusalem, Palestine will be replaced by a spiritual city, the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, the City of Yahweh.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from יהוה out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of יהוה is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and יהוה himself shall be with them, and be their Elohim. Revelation 21:2-3

David the Father

Ultimately, even though King David possessed all the power of the nation, he demonstrated the love of a father, an (imperfect) example of the love of our Heavenly Father. David's son Absalom had led a rebellion against King David, forcing his father and his family to flee for their lives. This led to a battle between King David's troops and his son Absalom's troops.

And the king [David] commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom. 2 Samuel 18:5

But Absalom was killed.

And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son! 2 Samuel 18:33

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the Lord's anointed? And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel? Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him. 2 Samuel 19:21-23

Yahweh's son, Satan, led a rebellion with many followers. Will Yahweh show any less love and concern for his son, Satan, than did the man, King David? Will He kill Satan and all the "wheat" and "grapes" and enemies in the Lake of fire?
